Q: Is Kidd Street Cottages suitable for families?

A: Kidd Street Cottages have been designed for couples and small families with up to 2 children under 12 years of age.

Q: Are pets allowed?

A: Sorry, we do not allow pets.

Q: Is Kidd Street Cottages Wheelchair friendly?

A: Kookaburra cottage is fitted with ramps for wheelchair accessibility. Please enquire at the time of booking for your most suitable cottage for your booking.

Q: Is there a secure carpark facility?

A: The Kidd Street Cottages provides one carport only per cottage included in your booking.

Q: Is there a restaurant at Kidd Street Cottages?

A: While the Kidd Street Cottages does not have a restaurant, all cottages have kitchenette facilities. There are several establishments within walking distance to cater for breakfasts, lunches or evening meals.

Q: Is smoking allowed?

A: Smoking is permitted in your garden, ashtrays are provided. Please do not smoke inside your cottage.

Q: Are there private garden areas?

A: All cottages are designed to incorporate individual garden areas. The cottages are quite isolated from each other to ensure privacy and enjoyment of surrounding bushland.

Q: Are there barbecue facilities?

A: All cottages have high quality, comfortable outdoor furniture and a Baby Q Webber BBQ for alfresco dining.

Q: Is the beach accessible? How far away is it?

A: The Gold Coast beaches and Surfers Paradise are 1 hours drive from the Kidd Street Cottages.

Q: Which languages are spoken at the reception?

A: English.

Q: Does the hotel accept credit cards?

A: Payments can be made securely online at the time of booking or at reception by cash, eftpos or credit (we accept VISA and Mastercard).

 

Accommodation

Q: Is there a CD player in the cottages?

A: Yes, Rose Cottage and Kookaburra Cottages have a CD player, bring your favourite CD’s. Blue Wren has an ipad dock/clock radio.

Q: Is there a DVD player in the cottages?

A: Yes, reception has DVDs available on a nightly basis or bring your favourites from home. The local IGA store has a vending machine with the latest releases.

Q: Is it possible to connect to internet in my cottage?

A: Sorry, we are unable to provide internet wi-fi.

Q: Is there a selection of pillows available in the cottages?

A: Always, all cottages are prepared with several pillows per bed and any further pillows can be ordered through reception.

Q: Are there TV’s in the cottages?

A: Yes, all cottages now have High Definition television available. Local networks (Freeview) are available.

Q: What about firewood?

A: Firewood is available between March and September inclusive. We provide a bucket of kindling and firelighters every 2-3 days of your stay. If you burn excessive amounts of wood, you will be charged for the extra wood.

Q: What kind of air conditioners do you use?

A: Our air conditioners are split system so they can be used for cooling and heating. Air conditioners are located in Rose Cottage, Kookaburra Cottage and in the separate bedroom in Blue Wren Cottage.

Arrival and Departure

Q: What time should I arrive at your hotel?

A: Check-in time is from 1pm, the carpark is open to new guests from 12 noon.

Q: When is the departure time?

A: Check-out from your room is 10am as we need the time to present the cottage to each new guest in a clean and suitable condition.
